By decreasing the release of these chemicals in a particular area, inflammation is reduced. This can help control a wide number of disease states characterized by excessive inflammation.

Cortef (Hydrocortisone) belongs to the class of medications known as corticosteroids. It contains Hydrocortisone which is a glucocorticoid. This is available as tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains 5mg, 10mg, or 20mg of Hydrocortisone. This has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
How to use Cortef (Hydrocortisone)?
The recommended dosage is based on your medical condition and response.
Cortef (Hydrocortisone) is usually taken 1 to 4 times a day. It is to be taken by mouth with a full glass of water. You may take it with or without food. If you have an upset stomach, you may take it with milk. Follow the prescription of your doctor very carefully. Take it regularly to get the most benefit of it.
